OFC Finals- Players of the Week

Offensive Player- Angus Button WR Hamilton Hurricanes- 5 rec/ 97yards/ 1 TD

Angus Button was the popular receiver in the OFC Finals this weekend. He was the leading receiver in both receptions and yards against the Windsor AKO Fratmen. Angus hauled in 5 passes for 97 yards and 1 touchdown in the big win. The Hurricanes offense was too much to handle this week and Angus Button was at the forefront of their assualt on the Fratmen defense.


Defensive Player- Musa Farouk DB Hamilton Hurricanes-  6 tackles/ 3 assisted tackles/ 1 Special Teams Tackle/ 1 INT/ 1 TD

Defenses win Championships and the OFC Finals was perfect proof of that. Musa Farouk was the team leader in defensive points with 23 total points. He tied for the most single tackles on his team with 6 total. On top of that, Farouk added 3 assisted tackles and 1 special teams tackle. The highlight of Musa’s game this weekend was his interception for a touchdown putting points on the board for the Hurricanes. The entire defense was able to keep the powerful Fratmen to a total of 21 points, an impressive feat.


Special Teams Player- David Adeniran Jr. KR/PR Hamilton Hurricanes- 3PR/ 19yards/ 3KOR/ 65yards

The Hamilton Hurricanes cleared the board with outstanding players this week. David Adeniran JR stood out in the special teams department in the final game of the season. With 6 total returns, David was an intricate part of the Hurricanes gameplan. A strong return game is crucial to great field position. Adeniran’s return game clearly set up the Hurricanes for success. Though he wasn’t able to find the endzone this weekend, David Adeniran Jr was the games leader in both punt return and kick return yards.
