Week 1 Players of the Week

Offensive Player: Jurrell Gaddishaw, Running Back, Hamilton Hurricanes

Gaddishaw helped carry the Hurricanes to their first win of the season against the Niagara Regional Raiders. With 13 carries and 131 yards, the Hurricanes relied on the seasoned back to run away with the ball. He only found the endzone once but was a clutch player in the opening game of the season. The Hurricanes face the GTA Grizzlies in Week 2.

 

Defensive Player: Jordan Gorrichuk, Linebacker, Ottawa Sooners

Jordan Gorrichuk was a huge contributor to the tight game between Ottawa and London this week. He was all over the field and helped to keep London out of the endzone. He put up a dominant 15.5 points in his first game. He led his team in tackles with 6 individual and half a sack. Look for Gorrichuk to be all over the field again against the AKO Fratmen in Week 2.

 

Special Teams Player: Tyler Storie, Punt Returner, AKO Fratmen

Tyler Storie was a dominant force on special teams this week. With only 2 total punt returns, he was able to accumulate 136 yards and add a touchdown for the Fratmen. A dominant special teams helped Windsor shut out the GTA Grizzlies in game one. Watch for Storie in Week 2 against a tough Ottawa Sooners team.
